Getting Here & Directions

To ensure a smooth journey and avoid narrow local lanes—especially if you are towing a caravan or driving a motorhome—please follow our recommended routes below rather than relying solely on your SatNav.

Coming from the M50

Head down the M50 to the A40. Do not exit at Goodrich or Symonds Yat (these narrow lanes are unsuitable for caravans/motorhomes). Instead, continue to Monmouth, take the A4136 toward Staunton/Coleford, and turn right onto the B4228. After half a mile, turn right at the crossroads onto Scowles Road—we are half a mile down on the right.

Coming from the M5 and M4

Head over the old Severn Bridge (M48) toward Chepstow, pick up the A48 to Lydney, and follow the B4231 to the B4228 junction. Turn right through Coleford, pass two sets of traffic lights, and at the crossroads just outside town, turn left onto Scowles Road. We are half a mile down.

While most SatNavs will bring you right to our doorstep once you are on the final approach, following the main routes above will keep you on suitable roads for larger vehicles.

Loved by our guests

Lovely, peaceful campsite in a beautiful location, perfect for exploring the Forest of Dean and ideal for dog owners. The facilities were clean and well kept, and we had a really relaxing stay — we’d definitely return!
